Matthew Vose, Illinois, USA

Matthew Vose graduated from the University of Illinois in May 2009 with a Bachelors Degree in Health Care Administration and Disability Rehabilitation. Matthew fished his first tournament when he was 19 as a Co-Angler. After placing in the money he was "hooked" on tournament fishing! Two weeks later he sold his car and bought a used bass boat and started fishing major regional tournaments as a boater, borrowing his parent’s truck as a tow vehicle.

Matthew fishes Big Bucks Bass and BFL’s in Wisconsin, but plans to expand his schedule to the Sturgeon Bay Open and some Bassmaster Open events in the following years.

Matt's favorite styles of fishing center on off-shore structure using Talon Football Jigs and Big Dandy Lake Fork Flutter Spoons. Matt feels that having a 5 lb smallmouth crush a flutter spoon is an experience every angler should have at some point! He is notorious for double hookups on the big Flutter Spoons.

Some of Matt's angling heroes are Kevin Wirth and Kevin Van Dam.
