Here you'll find everything you need for rigging the Talon Series Rattlin' FlipSkirt.
For punching grass, flipping brush, and any other vertical presentation:
1) You'll need to peg the weight with either a large size bobber stopper or one of the products made specifically for pegging weights. We do not recommend using a toothpick! It can and will fray and weaken your line, even braid. Here, we're using a bobber stopper. Add it to your line and slide up out of the way.
2) Thread your favorite bullet weight onto your line.
3) Thread the Talon Rattlin' FlipSkirt onto your line with the rattles pointing away from the weight, towards the tag end of your line.
4) Tie on your favorite flipping hook. Most grass experts recommend a heavy wire, straight shank hook for punching grass. Here, we're using an offset Gamakatsu EWG.
5) Rig your favorite plastic onto the hook. Here, we're using a Hag's F5 Tornado Bait.
6) Slide the Rattlin' FlipSkirt and weight down to the hook and slide the bobber stopper down to the weight. We recommend leaving a tiny gap between the bobber stopper and weight to facilitate clicking of the FlipSkirt on the weight.
7) Here is the finished Rattlin' FlipSkirt punch/flip rig, ready to do battle with nasty junk and big bass!
