Andrew Upshaw

Andrew Upshaw is from Hemphill, Texas and grew up fishing Toledo Bend Lake with his father, Mr. Larry Upshaw. He has had coaching from some of the best professional anglers in the country, including Tommy Martin, Ben Matsubu, Craig Dowling, and John Buffalow, and has been competing in local tournaments on Toledo Bend since he was 13 years old. At the age of 19, he began competing in major tournaments as a boater. Andrew also is an active member of the Steven F. Austin University Bass Fishing Team and competes in the Collegiate Bass Anglers Association.
In addition to his fishing career, Andrew is a full time student majoring in Marketing at Steven F. Austin University in Nacogdoches, Texas. He also manages Tri-Lakes Tackle in Lufkin, Texas.

Fourteen top 10 and ten top 20 finishes in the past two years in Major Tournaments

15th place finish in Texas Division Stren on Toledo Bend as a Boater

2nd, 27th, and 13th place finishes in Wal-Mart BFL as a Boater

Regional Qualifier for BFL Cowboy Division, Boater

Third in points in the Media Bass Circuit with 3rd and 1st place finishes in recent tournaments

2nd place finish in SFASU Invitational Bass Tournament

Over 20 Top 2 finishes in the past 3 years in local Bass Clubs
At 21 years old, Andrew is a very motivated young man to watch in the coming months and years. He is proving that he is an excellent fisherman and is committed to succeed in the tournament business and fishing industry. February 24, 2008: Andrew and his SFASU Bass Fishing Team won the CBAA Arkansas University Invitational at Beaver Lake.
January 27, 2008: Andrew Upshaw wins the SFASU Bass Fishing Club tournament at Sam Rayburn.
